Pennsylvania, Maryland and northern Virginia. Some of these

storms can contain heavy rain. Temperatures will be 6-12

degrees lower than at the end of the week as a result of

increased clouds and wet weather. Meanwhile, a potent cold

front will sweep through the central United States and bring

a risk of severe thunderstorms from Illinois to the central

Gulf Coast. In addition to damaging winds and hail, isolated

tornadoes can also occur in this corridor. Snow will move in

late in the day and at night across part of the northern

Plains and upper Mississippi Valley. Most of the West will

be dry with seasonable temperatures.
